The Wendigo Spirit was created by Charles Vess for The Amazing Spider-Man #277.

Cry of the Wendigo
During a Blizzard, the Wendigo travels to New York City and encounters Spider-Man with a young girl whom he had just saved from kidnappers. The Wendigo lets out a deafening howl before it attacks one of the gunmen after the young girl and kills him. The Wendigo the leaves New York as the blizzard ends.
