The White Sword first appeared in X-Men #12 - Amenth, the character was created by Jonathan Hickman and Pepe Larraz for the X of Swords event. White Sword's characteristics appear to have been based on the Tarot card of The Emperor.

Stamina: The White Sword can seemingly fight years on end.
- Healing/Resurrection: The White Sword can heal wound and even bring the dead back to life.
- Mind Control: When The White Sword resurrect someone they are under his control unless he releases them.
