Wirehead is a member of System Crash which is a group of informational terrorist or cyber criminals affiliated with HYDRA and led by Baron Von Strucker. The group consisted of Wirehead, Infomorph, Bitmap, Steel Collar, Kill-O-Byte, and Technospike.   

Creation

Wirehead was created by D.G. Chichester and Scott McDaniel in 1994 and first appeared in Daredevil # 326.  

Powers & Abilities

Wirehead wears armor and a helmet that allows him to perceive a simulation environment of unprecedented sensory immersion and interaction he calls MUD or multi-user dungeon. Wirehead sees his environment and opponents in a virtual game mode and is able to select various weapons in the MUD that materializes as an energy based construct in the present world. The weapon is made out of pure energy but retains the inherent capabilities it has been assigned in his MUD. Weapons can arrange from swords and maces to complex weaponry like firearms or laser guns.
