Iron Monger was created by Danny Fingeroth and Dwayne Turner and first appeared in Iron Man #212. He is a legacy character based on the original Iron Monger created by Denny O'Neil and Mark Bright.

Yiorgos Krallis is the 2nd person to assume the Iron Monger identity. The first of which was Obadiah Stane who debuted as Iron Monger only 12 issues prior. Yiorgos Krallis was succeeded as Iron Monger by Gregory Smoot.
