Creation

Ziggy Pig was a comic character published by Timely Comics, Marvel Comic's predecessor, during the 'funny animal' craze in the 1950's, created by Al Jaffee. Like Pudgy Pig, Ziggy looks like the Porky Pig from Warner Bros.

He most often teamed-up with his friend Silly Seal. After this craze had ended, Ziggy Pig was hardly ever seen again, except for a small few images or references of the character. Ziggy Pig made a return in 1989 when his image appeared in the film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure as the logo of the restaurant where Napoleon had a birthday party.

In 2019, Marvel published a new solo for him and his pal Silly Seal, intending to continue with the funny animal tradition.

Funny Frolics

Ziggy Pig and Silly Seal are on their way to a baseball game, when they get mistaken for a pair of hit men known as the Mascots. When the gangster learn the pair aren't criminals they attempt to kill them, but the pair are able to escape. Ziggy gets the police and saves the day. The pair go to the baseball game, where Ziggy gets hit in the head with a ball and realizes his friend Silly constantly putting him in danger.

Infinity Comics

Ziggy Pig and Silly Seal are back together again, and this time Ziggy has a plan to take down all the anamorphic heroes in the Marvel Universe. He forms a group of low lives called the Scammers, and they attempt to destroy the reputation of the heroes. Next Ziggy dresses like Spider-Ham and tries to cause chaos as the masked hero. Lastly Ziggy forms the Masters of Animal Evil. A group of anamorphic villains, with the signal goal of taking down the Pet Avengers.

All of Ziggy's plans are for not, when the Pet Avenger defeat the Masters, his stunt as Spider-Ham backfires and the Pet Avengers defeats the Scammers and confront Ziggy and Silly.

When confronted with his actions, Ziggy realizes he has become a villain and goes to prison, but his stint in big joint is short lived when Silly's wife, Roxanne shows up to inform Ziggy and Silly that they are big stars again, and are back in the spotlight.

Spider-Boy

Ziggy Pig, along with Silly Seal, Forbush Man, and Planet Terry, is a balloon in the Thanksgiving day Parade in New York City. Then when Balloon Man shows up he uses his Polymer X to harden the balloons and he uses his powers to bring the balloons alive and run rampage over the city.

Ziggy Pig's balloon is not seen being defeated but when Spider-Boy and Santa Claus defeat Balloon Man all the other balloons deflate, meaning the Ziggy Pig balloon most likely deflates as well.
