Joey seemed like an average thug to the TMNT, but after several run-ins with the Turtles Joey went completely insane and began to see everyone as a Mutant Turtle, and set out on a killing spree. Even somehow managing to locate the TMNT's lair.

Little Known Fact:
The character Rocksteady from the original animated series was loosely based on Joey, Rocksteady inherited his large guns, , and his speech pattern (pronouncing "turtles" as "toitles") from this character.
In the original animated series, pre-mutated Rocksteady also bared more then a passing resemblance to Joey.
