Origin

Alana Talbane, born Alana Marcellus, grew up in a well-to-do family in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her upbringing was steeped in the unique blend of cultures and traditions that the city is known for, including a deep respect for the mystical arts. From a young age, Alana was drawn to the world of magic and the occult, fascinated by the stories of voodoo queens, secret societies, and the power hidden beneath the surface of everyday life. Her grandmother, a respected practitioner of both hoodoo and Creole magic, recognized this innate curiosity and began teaching Alana the old ways. Under the guidance of her grandmother, Alana learned about the occult and dabbled in the art of divination, protection spells, and rituals hoping that maybe they could tip the scales of fate.

Despite her unconventional interests, Alana was also a sharp-minded and ambitious young woman. She excelled in school and went on to study business and finance at Tulane University, where she met Natas Talbane. The two quickly connected, finding a shared passion for wealth, power, and the arcane. Natas was drawn to her beauty, intelligence, and her knowledge of the occult, seeing in her a partner who could help him achieve his ambitions. After their marriage, Alana became an integral part of his life and business, using her magical expertise to complement his financial acumen.

As Natas delved deeper into the world of mysticism and demonology, Alana was by his side, supporting his ventures and contributing her own knowledge to the cause. She played a crucial role in the formation of The Rise of Magic, using her connections in the mystical and social circles to recruit like-minded individuals who shared their vision of shaping the world through magic, money, and media. While Natas focused on expanding their empire in the corporate and technological realms, Alana took on the role of a runner and support for Natas, managing the day-to-day operations of his business dealings until they became to unmanageable for her. He life became easier, but she still helped with securing rare artifacts, conducting rituals and of course taking of their children, Loren, Landon and Lana Talbane.

Her influence extended beyond the mystical; she was also deeply involved in the upbringing of her children, ensuring that they were educated not only in the ways of the world but also in the old ways she had mastered. Under her guidance, the Talbane family, aside from Loren, grew comfortable with blending the arcane with the material to maintain their status at the top of society. Though she operated largely in the shadows, Alana Talbane was a formidable figure, ensuring that the Talbane legacy would continue to thrive for generations to come.

In CurseRisen #2 - Communion of the Fallen Part 2 she is on board the private jet on the way to their beach house on the run from Serpina who had vowed to kill them as revenge for Natas trapping her.
