Origin
Count Drakgen, born Kane Draggen, in the shadowy alleys of Chicago, is the product of a dark union between an incubus named Satsu and a fervent demon worshiper, Calista Aldia. Satsu, a being of lust and shadows, was summoned by Calista during a forbidden ritual meant to invoke an otherworldly power. The union resulted in the birth of Drakgen, a neo-nephilim with a twisted blend of demonic and human blood. From birth, Drakgen exhibited extraordinary abilities and a thirst for power. Calista, consumed by her ambitions, raised Drakgen in the underbelly of Chicago, teaching him the dark arts and grooming him to be a formidable force. As Drakgen grew, he became aware of his unique heritage, embracing his powers while struggling with the inherent darkness within him.
Drakgen realized that his powers emulated those of vampires, which led him to integrate himself into various vampire clans in Chicago. Taking on the title of "Count Drakgen," he immersed himself in the blood-soaked politics of the vampire underworld. However, when vampire hunters and powerful spells targeted the city’s vampire population, driving them out of Chicago, Drakgen found himself uniquely unaffected. The magic that repelled the vampires did not work on him, as he wasn’t truly one of them and he simply ran from hunters powerful enough to kill him.
While other vampires were forced to flee or be destroyed, Drakgen remained, simply outlasting them. His survival through these supernatural purges left him as the last significant figure in Chicago’s night scene, and by default, he consolidated power over the remaining supernatural elements in the city. This unintentional victory over the vampire clans marked the beginning of his rise to power.
Drakgen began aligning himself with other supernatural groups, his resilience and unique abilities making him a sought-after ally—or a feared opponent. His journey eventually led him to join Nephilim Rage, (N-Rage), where he found a sense of belonging among others who, like him, were not fully human nor fully something else. In N-Rage, Drakgen expanded his influence even further, becoming a key figure in the city's supernatural conflicts mainly by brokering information because he always manages to outlive everyone else and takes the knowledge with him.

Powers and Abilities
Count Drakgen possesses abilities similar to those of a vampire, including enhanced strength, speed, and night vision. While he can drink blood, he doesn't in anyway have to. However, unlike traditional vampires, he is not bound by the need for permission to enter dwellings, and mundane deterrents like garlic and running water have no effect on him. Drakgen is vulnerable to religious symbols, silver, and holy ground, which can weaken or harm him. His demonic lineage grants him the power to manipulate shadows, allowing him to blend into darkness and travel short distances instantaneously. He also has a limited ability to influence the minds of others, a skill inherited from his incubus father, though this power is less effective against those with strong wills.
Oddities
Count Drakgen is an avowed coward. While not a skilled fighter, he can and will fight, but is big believer in living to fight another day then repeat. Drakgen is great at intimidation, but if his intimidation fails and his opponent is in anyway on his level or stronger, he will fight, but run the moment he gets a chance.
