Origin
Louhi's journey into the dark world of vampirism and black magic began long before she became a member of the The Sisterhood of Lilith. In the 1960s, she worked as a dayworker and familiar for the infamous Count Orlok, a powerful vampire who had survived for centuries. Orlok, a master of the night, was one of the few vampires who had managed to evade both hunters and the passage of time, maintaining his power and influence in the shadows.
As his familiar Louhi, real name Selene Nysia, served him during the daylight hours, protecting his lair, managing his affairs, and ensuring that his existence remained hidden from prying eyes. In return, Orlok kept her alive and youthful through regular injections of his blood. This blood, while not enough to turn her into a full vampire, granted her enhanced strength, longevity, and a connection to the dark powers that she would later embrace fully.
Louhi's fascination with the occult grew during her time with Orlok. She spent countless hours poring over ancient texts, manuscripts, and grimoires that Orlok had collected over the centuries. It was during one of these studies that she stumbled upon a particularly powerful and dangerous ritual—a vampire curse that could transform a mortal into one of the undead.
Driven by a desire for power and immortality, Louhi decided to cast the spell on herself. The ritual was complex and perilous, requiring a deep knowledge of black magic. Fortunately for Louhi, the blood injections from Orlok had already infused her with a trace of vampiric energy, making her a magic adept and even as dabbler, she was able to place the curse on herself.
The transformation was both excruciating and exhilarating. As the curse took hold, Louhi felt her humanity slipping away, replaced by the predatory instincts and dark powers of a vampire. The blood that had sustained her as a familiar now fully integrated with her being, and she emerged from the ritual as a creature of the night, powerful beyond her wildest dreams.
Now a vampire, Louhi’s thirst for power only grew, taking the name Louhi, after the evil witch of Finnish myth and aligning her identity with the legend of malevolence and darkness. She continued to delve deeper into the dark arts, specializing in black magic, which she used to amplify her vampiric abilities. She left Orlok's employ and moved to Chicago. Her mastery of these dark forces made her a formidable figure, feared by both mortals and immortals alike.
However, her ambition soon led her to clash with The Vampire Alliance, one of the major governing bodies and protectors of vampire society in Chicago. The Alliance valued order and secrecy, enforcing strict rules to maintain the balance between vampires and the mortal world. Louhi, newly empowered and unrestrained by human morality, sought to join, but had no interest in following anyone’s rules. She sought to hunt freely, to explore her powers without limitation, and to impose her will on the world as she saw fit.
When the Alliance rejected her bid for membership, Louhi was undeterred. She turned instead to The Sisterhood of Lilith, a cult that shared her thirst for chaos and destruction. Within the Sisterhood, Louhi found a place where her dark talents were not only accepted but celebrated. She quickly rose through the ranks, as the group's leader, Nightevil, smiled upon her, using her knowledge of black magic and her vampiric powers to further the Sisterhood’s malevolent goals.
As a member of the Sisterhood of Lilith, she became a key player in their plans to unleash chaos upon the world. Her life as a vampire and black magic practitioner was one of unrelenting ambition and cruelty, a testament to her desire for power and her willingness to do whatever it took to achieve it.
Louhi’s story is a dark and twisted tale of a woman who embraced the darkest aspects of the supernatural world, transforming herself into a being of immense power and evil. Her past as Count Orlock’s familiar and her subsequent rise as a vampire and black magic practitioner make her a formidable force within the Sisterhood of Lilith, a villain whose name is feared by all who know it.

Powers
Louhi possesses a formidable array of powers that make her a deadly and feared figure within the supernatural world. As a vampire, she has the enhanced physical abilities common to her kind, including superhuman strength, speed, agility, and heightened senses. However, what truly sets Louhi apart is her mastery of black magic, which she wields with terrifying precision. She can cast powerful curses, summon and control dark entities, and manipulate shadows to conceal her presence or create illusions. Her blood magic, drawn from her vampiric nature, allows her to control the lifeblood of others, either draining them of vitality or twisting their own essence against them. Louhi’s ability to combine her vampiric abilities with dark sorcery makes her a unique and nearly unstoppable force, capable of bending both the physical and supernatural worlds to her will. She is also the equivalent of a eighth degree Hachi Dan in Aikido. Though she is self taught, it's her powers that allow for her mastery of her fighting abilities, though she will go feral if backed into a corner.
Oddities
Louhi has horns. In her vampiric form horns protrude from her head and which she can use to gore an opponent in combat.
