Origin

Rebecca Hassan, the younger sister of Adam and Sarah "Fist of God" Hassan, grew up surrounded by the mysticism and martial prowess of her older siblings. Born into a family deeply entrenched in battling the supernatural, Rebecca's early life was marked by a blend of intense training and academic study. She began her journey by intense religious training being raised in the Jewish religious tradition, then receiving rigorous military training with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where she honed her skills in marksmanship and tactical operations. She later became deeply entrenched in the Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. This background gave her a unique edge in the world of supernatural combat and research.

After moving to Chicago with her family, Rebecca was thrust into the world of the Defenders of Eden, an organization dedicated to protecting humanity from dark forces, finding that her older brother Adam lead the Chicago chapter and her sister Sarah was essentially a Old Testament style judge with Samson-like superpowers. While it was completely her choice to join the DOE, this is what she had been trained for all her life. She emphatically joined.

She quickly distinguished herself with her keen intellect and talent in various forms of exorcism and talisman making. Her interest in the arcane led her to delve back Kabbalah, an endeavor that is forbidden save for highly spiritual male, elder Rabbi and even many of them refuse to delve into it. Her use of it resulted in her temporary expulsion from the Defenders of Eden. Her studies in Kabbalah, though controversial, expanded her understanding of mystical forces and added a new dimension to her skills.

Despite the setback, she continued her research independently aiding the DOE and now Victor Locke, a fellow demon hunter. Her knowledge and willingness to fight demonic forces, eventually lead to her reinstatement within the Defenders of Eden. Now back in their ranks, Rebecca plays a crucial role in their operations, balancing her duties with her personal aspirations.

Story Arcs

In the original Epitaph: Beginning of the End Victor questions Rebecca about mysterious creatures that have been popping up around Chicago. He is told to find Loren Talbane and she may know something about the creatures, implying they may be associated with her father's coven The Rise of Magic and would be the easiest to approach about it.
