Dialga is one of three Pokémon part of the Creation Trio, along with Palkia and Giritina. Dialga was created by Arceus, and as a result of his creation, time itself began to flow. It is said that time flows when Dialga's heart beats.

In addition to the standard moves, powers, and abilities Pokémon have, Dialga has the unique ability of completely controlling the flow of time. It uses its power to travel at will through the past and future. It can also stop time, reverse it, change it, and manipulate it by will.
