One of the two Goddesses of Angel Land, Medusa despised humans and was vastly different from her fellow Goddess, Palutena. Medusa resided in the Underworld, where she ruled over darkness. She was a constant enemy for Kid Icarus. At one point, she turned him into stone, forcing his allies Kevin Keene, Princess Lana, and Samus Aran to find a way to bring him back. They discovered the Medusa Ray, which allowed them to end Medusa's spell on Kid Icarus.
