Anne Bonny was a notorious female pirate who operated in the Caribbean during the early 18th century. She is remembered as one of history's few well-documented female pirates and for her daring exploits alongside fellow pirate Calico Jack. Anne Bonny's life and adventures have become legendary in pirate lore. Anne Bonny's origins and early life are somewhat mysterious. She was born in Ireland in the late 17th century, but little is known about her upbringing and family. She later moved to the Caribbean, where she became a pirate.
