Overview

Helene Kottannerin was born in Ödenburg, Hungary. Primarily an author, she was also a handmaiden to Queen Elisabeth of Hungary. This second duty had at time put Helene in harrowing, and risky circumstance, none more so than in a plot involving smuggling a highly prized crown that would be instrumental in dictating whose authority would be respected more as far as royalty in Hungary.

Helene eventually writing a book Denkwürdigkeiten which provided a first hand account of her dangerous task and journey to acquire the crown (Crown of St. Stephen) at time even her life was at risk. She had succeeded of course and was even witness to the birth of Ladislaus the Posthumous.
