Biography
Gandhi is most know for his non-violent tactics and stance when it came to fighting for the civil rights of Hindu Indians and Muslim's that were living in South Africa. These views spread throughout the world and gave rise to a new form of protest that among other things, helped ease poverty throughout the country, imrpoved the rights of women, built up the economy, and most importantly freed India from British rule.
