Aulaura's village is under the ruling hand of the The Shrouded Man, something that was harsh on everyone she loved. So, one day, Aulaura and her pet dragon Zixia traveled to the City of Dis to confront the Shrouded Man and ask for lenience.
Aulaura made it to the gates of Dis, where she met Canto and Malorex. She helped the heroes sneak into the city but left them so she could find a way to the Emerald Tower, the Shrouded Man's stronghold.
That night Aulaura came to Canto's rescue when he was attacked by The Shrouded Man's Furies. After defeating them, Aulaura realizes, Canto has a chance to save his love the Tin Girl. Aulaura orders Zixia to fly Canto to the Emerald Tower, while she and Malorex head back to Arcana.
Later after Canto is successful in confronting the Shrouded Man, Aulaura and him meet up in Arcana. Aulaura goes back to her village, as Canto leads his people to freedom from the Shrouded Man.

When Aulaura returns home, she is greeted as a returning hero, and things look good for a while. Then the Shrouded Man's magic shows up and the crops all die, and the village starts to starve.
The Shrouded Man comes to the village and offers a deal, he will save the village if they allow him to be their master again. The village foolishly agrees and the Shrouded Man turns them all into Hallow Men, scarecrow like being with no hearts.
Aulaura is spared so she is forced to watch. She lived in the empty village sad and alone, until the day Canto, Falco, Rikta and Veratta arrive. Canto promises Aulaura that he wll find the Shrouded Man's magic and will transform Aulaura's people back to real life. Aulaura is skeptical but when the Furies attack, Aulaura helps Canto escape with a map to the Yellow Mountains, a place where the Shrouded Man hides his power.
Later, Canto returns to Aulaura's village and uses his new power to restore the village and saving Aulaura's family to their normal selves.
