Richa was the daughter of a compute programmer Raaman who was killed by Grand Master Robo. Richa did everything she could to get the convicts but soon realied that law and enforcement are too weak for Robo. With killer instincts in her mind she took things in her own hands and donned a secret identity of Black Cat to punish Robo.
Earlier Dhruva and Black Cat fought with each other various times as Dhruva cannot allow anyone to break the law, little did he know that beneath the mask is Richa her best friend. Later on it was also revealed that Richa is in love with Dhruva, but Dhruva told her that he loves Natasha and Richa will only remain her friend. This has resulted in Black Cat and Natasha often being on loggerheads with each other.
