Hyanis and his kind live in a world very similar to the homeworld of the Masters of the Night. As stated by Lord Marsden, they are similar to the race of the Masters when they were primitive. When Harlan discovered this world, Draka realized that his century-long plan to restore his race in a new world was about to finally happen. Draka built a castle there and started a relationship with Hyanis. When she gave birth to their son, Arach, they discovered that it wasn't neither a Dampyr nor a similarly dangerous creature, marking the possible start of a new beginning for the Masters.
