Kagyr Khan is a creature native to the world of the Masters of the Night but belongs to a lesser species. Kagyr is also the best friend of Erlik Khan and the two are always together. Despite the appearances, Kagyr is quite intelligent, being able to think rationally, speak and take his own decisions, although he respects Erlik's authority. When not in his animal form he takes the shape of a black horse or that of Hugo Markam's butler, the alter ego of Erlik Khan.
