Lucius Marvell has impersonated many different identities over the centuries and is the attempt of Lord Marsden to have a son, similarly to what Sir Varney was for Draka, but Marsden didn't have any kind of affection towards him. He isn't a real un-dead like Varney, instead Marsden implanted some of his internal organs inside his body, maintaining him human, but with greatly enhanced capabilities, like his strength and his lifespan. Lucius served his father managing his interests in London, covering noble positions and, more recently, running the Morningstar orphanage in search of kids gifted with the psychic power to open portals between the dimensions, like Simon Fane.
