Sophie was a student at the University of Freiburg, Germany, whose family had the task to keep a mysterious and dangerous book. Once graduated, she started to conduct researches on European folklore. Initially she and Harlan Draka had a love interest in each other, but with time they took different paths. Sophie started a relationship with Angelo, a young Sardinian university professor. She used to have some ESP capacities, that endangered her on a couple occasions, but she always overcome them with Harlan's help.
