Origin
When alive, Oars was a giant feared for his power. Legend has it that he controlled countless islands and led an infamous gang. However, these are just legends. To date, no reliable information has been revealed about him, but one confirmed fact is that he had a family that is still unknown and, later, a descendant named Little Oars Jr.

Past
Considering that he died 500 years ago, little is known about his life, except for legends about his power and infamy. However, the fact that he had a descendant makes it clear that he had a son or daughter and a wife, whose names are still unknown.
The cause of his death has also not been explained. However, when his corpse was examined by Tony Tony Chopper, a talented doctor, he presumed that his death was due to prolonged exposure to extreme cold without adequate protection. He also identified an injury to his right arm. However, taking into account the difference between doctors and coroners, it may be that he overlooked something.
