Creation
ShieldMaster was created in the 90s by Jim Simon, with concept art by his father Joe Simon, and first presented in Comic Book Marketplace #62 (1998). Organic Comix began to publish the character in 2009 in the new version of the French comic book Strange and other titles. Futureretro Entertainment published ShieldMaster: The Phoenix Project in 2015.
ShieldMaster is currently published by Simon Studios run by Jim and his son Jesse Simon. The comics are crowdfunded on Kickstarter.
