When Sheriff Leonard loses control, everyone in his entire town commits suicide. Sheriff is grief-stricken and willingly goes with Sam and Ellis back to the H/K base. However, just as Morningstar is congratulating the team for bringing him in alive, an alarm on Morningstar's watch goes off and he promptly shoots Sheriff in the head.
