Origin

Darpan is one of only three Psiots that have been 'born-activated'. The others were Peter Stanchek and Toyo Harada. Darpan was born in a Mumbai slum and raised by a woman named Ijaya. The first time she was in his presence, Darpan's powers led her to take her own eyes out. While Darpan was still a baby, Toyo Harada tracked him down in India. Darpan's powers once again manifested and Harada just about survived their encounter. Harada then took him away from his guardian in order to raise him to his potential -- and make him a part of the Harbinger Foundation.
