Origin
General Axil is the general of The Vine's army. He is based in the planet Loam. After leading The Vine army against Aric and being thoroughly defeated, Axil realised that Shanhara had indeed chosen the worthy one. Axil refused to fight on and was killed by the The Vine High Council for his refusal.
Creation
General Axil was created by writer Robert Venditti and artist Cary Nord. He first appeared in the story "Planet Death Part 2" in X-O Manowar #12 (Apr. 2013).
