Picknose flees with Old Maggoty when his subterranean village is ransacked by the ice#trolls of Guttlecraw. He is the first trolls to live above the surface in the bright of day. Like all trolls, he is driven by a strong sense of smell that can detect ores and delectible roots.
Moon Dagger
Picknose is a drunkard and a fool. He relishes the chance to claim his cousin Two-Edge's promised treasure, but to gain access, he needs the Key of Moonblade (New Moon) in order to claim it. This Key is in the possession of Bearclaw & Cutter, elves whom he must befriend.
Trinket
"Brats", along with jewels and smithed, are for a troll the greatest treasures of all. After the original ElfQuest by Richard and Wendy Pini, Picknose and Oddbit bear a child named Trinket. Picknose eventually is captured by Guttlekraw, but he bands with the elves to revel and overthrow his tyrant, becoming the king of trolls. Trinket, his child, is coddled and excessively pampered with treasure and luxury and is thus a sign of Picknose's ascendency & greatness.
