The man who would become the Walrus was once a normal human being. His ship exploded and he hit the shores of an island. After several days he saw a white rabbit. Following the rabbit, he came upon the skeleton of a walrus, laying on a small patch of land in the water. Wading through the water towards the skeleton, the skeleton came alive, grabbed him and dragged him underwater. The skeleton then drove itself into the man, transforming him into the Walrus. Coming up for air, he discovered he was in Wonderland.

He lives in a house with the Carpenter and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
