The title of Avengers Chairperson, or originally called the Avengers Chairman, has been used as the position given to an elected leader of the superhero group in Marvel Comics Publishing the Avengers. The position of Avengers Chairperson is routinely a elected position as the team leader. Avengers Chairperson responsibilities consist of leading meetings, assigning team posts and duties, dealing with both government agencies and villain/disaster threats, and other task as the voice and ultimate decision maker of the Avengers. All present members can be nominated or nominate themselves and then voted on to become the current Chairperson. Notable members of the Avengers as Chairperson's have been the Wasp, Captain America, Spectrum, and Iron Man. Members Captain America, the Wasp and Iron Man have been some of the longest running Avengers Chairpersons.
