Definition

This page is particularly covering Germany (including West Germany/East Germany), not all German language countries.

History

Germany is one of the largest comic industries in the world, but a massive portion of that is reprints (Disney comics, Japanese manga, European comics, American comics). There's not as clearly defined a group of German classics compared to other European industries.

Notable Creators and Series

Sigurd and Fix und Foxi.

Translation Industry

The vast majority of comic material published in Germany is translated from other industries from Micky Maus and Gespenster Geschichten to Panini Verlag and Cross Cult.
