In modern day, flipbook is the term used to refer to books that contain two separated stories that start on the opposite sides of the book, with both sides being the "cover" of the issue. Both stories are in reverse opposition to each other, so the reader has to turn over the physical book to read each story.
A recent trend is to have both stories related and converge on the central pages of the book, uniting the narrative of both tales.
