Overview: Marvel NOW! (2016)

Originally launched in October 2012, the Marvel NOW! initiative began "the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the Marvel Universe". With a total of 4 "waves" (Wave One, Two, All-New Marvel NOW!, Avengers NOW!) Marvel NOW! officially ended in May 2015 at the start of the "Secret Wars" storyline.

The fallout of Secret Wars would setup the "All-New, All-Different Marvel" initiative in October 2015.

The return of Marvel NOW! was announced in May 2016 and begins in October of the same year. Following the conclusion of the "Civil War II" storyline, Marvel NOW! (2016), "refreshes and revitalizes" the Marvel Universe with new ongoing titles and teams.
