Monsters are imaginary and/or fictitious creatures that tend to be sometimes aggressive/dangerous and usually have a unnatural appearance and/or strange abilities, although not all monsters are considered aggressive as some can be peaceful and even benevolent towards humans.

Subtypes of Monsters

  • Aliens (creatures from outer space, although not all aliens are monsters but a few certain types of aliens can qualify. Examples: The Blob, Cthulhu from The Call of Cthulhu, King Ghidorah from the Godzilla Franchise, The Thing, The Xenomorphs from Alien, etc...)
  • Demons (evil spirits)
  • Dragons (giant reptiles that can breathe fire)
  • Undead (creatures that are somehow alive despite also being dead)
    • Ghosts (spirits of the dead, although not all ghosts are considered monsters but a few can. Examples: Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ghosts from Pac-Man, The Poltergeists from Poltergeist, Slimer from Ghostbusters, etc...)
    • Vampires (beings that drink the blood of the living in order to survive and have a weakness towards most forms of light, especially Sunlight).
