Overview and history

Proposition X is a pending law spearheaded by anti-mutant bigot Simon Trask that would strictly monitor and perhaps inhibit mutants from breeding.

To gain support for the proposition, Simon Trask rallied together those in-support of the proposed law.  As he planned, the X-Men arrived to make a statement.  A dangerous riot ensued and pandemonium covered the city.  Trask used the media to gain support from more voters, further putting mutants at a disadvantage.
