History

Sweden is the largest comic publishing country of the five Nordic countries but in the end, most of the material and even some of the biggest publishers are held in common with the other countries.

Translation Industry

Disney comics and other translated comic strips are a huge part of the industry, Sweden does have attempted translations at American material, European material or Japanese material but this is often more short-lived and unsuccessful. Part of why Sweden has the largest comic publishing output compared to other Nordic countries is likely due to these attempts in comparison to total absence.
