Held at the Chicago McCormick Place Lakeside Center, C2E2's first annual convention was held April 16- 18, 2010. The convention covered comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games. C2E2 was organized by Reed Exhibitions ( New York Comic Con, New York Anime Festival, BookExpo America, the London Book Fair, the Tokyo International Book Fair, and MIPCOM). Over 250 special guests attended and eight panel rooms ran from 11a.m - 10 p.m. The annual event's promotional slogan was "The comic con Chicago needs, the one you deserve".
