Wuxia is a Chinese fiction genre featuring martial artists in Ancient China, wuxia has many fantasy elements.

The genre is very popular in Hong Kong films, with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000) being the most famous internationally, the genre has inspired Western films such as Big Trouble in Little China (1986), The Forbidden Kingdom (2008) and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).
