Obviously Ambush Bug was gaining popularity considering he is back in only 3 issues. A more rare thing back in the day.
The book opens with Irwin Schwab repairing his teleportation bugs. when they explode causing him to change color, and discover he no longer needs the mechanical bugs to teleport. While he is trying to find help he accidentally comes across Superman, who is trying to get a burglar to prison. Joining Superman at the Jailhouse, Ambush Bug recants his origin story. Ambush Bug was from another planet, and right before it exploded he was sent to Earth by his dying parents.
