Anima, Liv, Alison, and Dred go to Chicago to pay their respects to Dred’s brother, who died in a gang shooting. Dred’s cousin is also running in the same gang, and Dred’s Aunt Mavis want’s Dred to talk him out of the gang. Meanwhile, the Shrike (possessing Anima’s father Dwight Mason) is loose in Chicago, drawn to the city by Hawkman. Agent Woodleaf notifies Hawkman, who hunts for the Shrike. The Shrike has been killing drug dealers, and Hawkman tracks him. Hawkman’s search has him notice Anima, and his senses can tell that Anima and the Shrike are related. Eventually, Hawkman confronts the Shrike. Anima intercedes as the Shrike fights Hawkman, and realizes that the Shrike is her father.
