- The Joker's Comedy Of Errors: (Batman) This is the issue dealing the Joker's "boner." You've probably seen the image of Joker outraged over a headline in the newspaper. People are laughing at his "boner." Since this issue came out in 1951, boner clearly had a different meaning. What happened was Joker tried committing a wacky crime and it backfired on him. He became a laughing stalk and vowed to turn the boner around on Batman. It was all innocent fun. Surprisingly, the word boner appears almost forty times.
