A Gotham school teacher turned vigilante gains the power to siphon strength from nearby people after surviving an alien assault. He decides to use this to take the fight to the invaders. Batman and Pagan are investigating the same drug dealer as him, as well as the series of gory murders, which turn out to be caused by the alien, Gemir.
