Flash back to a time before the Angel arrived in Bête Noire! Been wondering how the Fallen Angel and Doctor Juris first became lovers? On the one day a year Juris is able to depart Bête Noire, his path takes him to New Orleans on Fat Tuesday, the high point of Mardi Gras. There he encounters a young woman known simply as Lee who is tracking down a serial rapist. Before long, he discovers that his and Lee's fates are inextricably intertwined!
