Plot Summary
Golden Dawn...Golden Death
Green Lantern and Carol Ferris visit the mansion on the coast in the Pacific Palisades that Carol's father bought her to make up for taking Ferris Aircraft away from his daughter. The pair spend a few romantic days in the new house, unaware that Goldface is in a mansion just up the cliffside, meeting with gang bosses and perfecting his gold suit.
Hal can't stay forever and has to go back to Ferris Aircraft to meet with the new VP Richard Davis, and sit in on a meeting with Carl Ferris, Bruce Gordan and other high ranking scientists. At the meeting Hal gets suspicious of the new way Ferris Aircraft is heading.
Meanwhile in Washington DC Congressman Jason Bloch shows his ruthlessness in taking down Ferris Aircraft.
Back in California, Green Lantern, starts to investigate the murder of the Tattooed Man and his trail leads to Goldface's mansion. There the old foes battle, and this time it looks like Goldface will win and the Green Lantern is outmatched.
Adam Strange Vs the Shadow Crawler
Adam Strange returns to Rann and to his love Alanna but their reunion is cut short when a strange creature flies past the pair. They follow this "Shadow Crawler" to the city of Yll where it attacks and destroys the power generating station and then moves on toward Meerlon.
Adam and Alanna get ahead of the creature and arrives in Meerlon before it. The heroes have the city turn off all its power, assuming the energy is luring the Shadow Crawler towards the city. Then Adam powers up a ship and leads the beast into space. There he destroys the ship just as he teleports back to Earth, assuming the creature is killed and Rann is safe.
Unknown to Adam, when the Shadow Crawler blows up it releases eggs that fall back to Rann, making matters worse for Adam's adopted home.
