Synopsis
“GOLDFACE’S GRUDGE FIGHT AGAINST GREEN LANTERN!” Keith Kenyon escapes from prison and takes on the identity of Goldface, with the ability to transform things into gold—including Green Lantern.
Plot Summary
Mercantile Bank, Coast City- Goldface and his gangster are breaking into the safe when they are spotted by the security guard. Goldface turns the night guard into gold, steals the gold from the safe and leaves a note for Green Lantern. The note says thatGoldface is willing to trade the life of the guard for that of the Emerald Warrior.
Meanwhile, Green Lantern shows up at Carol Ferris's mansion for the pre-show party for Zu Zu Lamar's latest picture. Carol believes Zu Zu's feminine wilds won't work on the hero, but she is wrong and the pair flirt the entire party.
The party is cut short when Tom shows up with a message from Goldface. Goldface wants Green Lantern to meet him at the Coast City Museum, which Green Lantern does but due to some accidents Goldface gets trapped under a statue and Green Lantern is able to take out his gangsters, never seeing Goldface
Later at the movie screening, Goldface sends a message for Green Lantern to meet him at the Gold Mine, which Green Lantern does.
This time the two face off and Goldface turns Green Lantern into a gold statue, but Green Lantern is prepared and makes it so he can escape later. Green Lantern is able to turn Goldface into a gold statue and turn him into the Coast City police.
At the after party Green Lantern continues to flirt with Zu Zu in an attempt to make Carol jealous, something Tom points out seems to be working.
Notes
Although Keith Kenyan has appeared before this is the first time he uses the villain name Goldface.
