“PHANTOM OF THE SPACE-OPERA!” Green Lantern is sent to the Berliotz star system, the site of an annual opera performance that is going to be disrupted by the warlike Wagnorians and their pawns, the nomadic Verdees!

This was the first issue that revealed Gaspar Saladino's new logo. Carmine Infantino, DC's editor-in-chief, put him in charge of making the Green Lantern logo fresher and more streamlined. Saladino's new design was based on the logo found on the covers of the original Green Lantern series.
