Synopsis

On Earth, Ellie Stewart's efforts to protect her mother are turned against her, as her seemingly idyllic fantasy world is turned into a nightmare realm by the terrifying STAR SHROUD!

Meanwhile in the Dark Star of the Fenn, John Stewart's will is tested against the will of the OLD GODS themselves, and INTERGALACTIC WAR hangs in the balance...but he won't have to do it alone, as he gets an 11th-hour assist from the GREEN LANTERN CORPS!

It's a reunion for the ages in this penultimate chapter of Green Lantern: War Journal!

Plot

Dark Star of the Fenn: John Stewart is trapped in a dream like state, after attempting to break through the Gravity Well that kept him, the scientist and the Fenn trapped on the Dark Star and kept Olgrun out of our universe. John's visions show him the Ajna creating the Dark Star Ring as gift for her father Olgrun. He learns of her eventual death that enrages her father and causes him to go mad an attempt to destroy the universe, and how Byla, his brother trapped him.

Steelworks: Shirley and Ellie, the Construct, attempt to flee from Varron but finally Shirley decides it is better to fight then to cower. This allows Ellie to transform into Green Lantern armor and weapons and the pair attack Varron.

Dark Star of the Fenn: John finally breaks free of the Gravity Well and realizes he the Guardian and the Builder and fights back against the Revenant Queen, Olgrun's Will and his army. He is able to knock them back into the Dark Star portal, just in time for Guy Gardner and Caolan Sheperd to show up and get ready to for the final battle.
