Synopsis

John Stewart has had his first battle with a deadly new adversary and is infected by the Radiant Dead!

Will his powers help slow the spread of this supernatural contagion, or are they transforming him into the most terrifying host imaginable?

And who is the powerful young Green Lantern from within the Multiverse, Lantern Shepherd?

Plot

Metropolis- Radiant Dead Varron has just infected John Stewart with the Radiant Dead energy, and the former Green Lantern is forced to use the energy inside him to fight back and save his mother and the people on the train, but it is not enough and John is seemly beaten. That is when Caolan Sheperd shows up and uses his constructs to save the train and an dying John.

Steelworks- John Stewart wakes up from a strange dream in the Steelworks. Steel informs him that he is infected with a strange new energy and he is slowly dying. John doesn't want to hear it and heads outside where he meets Caolan again, but this time he hears Kyle Rayner's voice coming from the Green Lantern Ring.

John learns that he is infected with the Dark Star energy, and it will consume him. He doesn't except this because he believes that he can overcome anything and needs to so that he can take care of his mother.

Amazon, The Alto Rio Guama Reserve- Some Eco terrorists arrive to stop the illegal loggers but find everyone missing. They are then attacked by Varron and an army of Radiant Dead, showing the Radiant Dead are getting more powerful each day.
