The Justice League face off against Despero before attending the funeral of Mister Miracle.

Despero seeming kills Martian Manhunter, Blue Beetle and Fire and then turns on the world burning it and the solar system to ash. In truth Manhunter just showed Despero what he wanted to see and Despero reverted to a fetus form.

Then later the League attends the funeral for Mr. Miracle. There Big Barda pushes Maxwell for "dragging Scott into this. Ted Kord pushes Booster for bringing up business of a new superhero team at a funeral.

Afterward, Superman discuses with Batman how the League needs a heavy hitter. Manhunter discusses with Max that the League needs more members. And Orion decides to join the team his brother died for.
