The Emerald Empress becomes the team's greatest threat yet as one Legionnaire pays a terrible price in a futile attempt to save a friend.

The Legionnaires continue to team-up with the Workforce to help Leland McCauley defeat Dr. Regulus and save his industrial site. Dr. Regulus heat-based vision allows him greater mobility on the polluted world, overwhelming several squads and forcing one Legionnaire to make an ultimate sacrifice to stop Regulus before anyone else can get hurt. That sacrifice pushes Shrinking Violet over the edge, bursting with suspicious emerald energy and transporting the group back to Earth.
