The identity of the mysterious foe plaguing the Legion is revealed, but not before the battle takes its toll on Shrinking Violet...or does it? Plus, the Legion learns of an impending threat of galactic scale—one they can't hope to fight without some major mega-powered help.

The Legion defeat Starfinger, who is revealed to be a brainwashed Jan Arrah. The Legion then learns about the threat of the Sun-Eater, a being that destroys galaxies by eating suns. The Legion are informed that there are five criminals in the universe that have the power to help destroy the Sun-Eater and the Legion needs to gather them for assistance.
